The College of Engineering at UW-Madison is eager to add growth-minded systems administrators to the complex and rewarding environment of a world-class research University.
The Team
Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) is the primary team for information technology in the College of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. We are responsible for college-wide networks and systems that support all teaching, learning, research, and outreach for the college.
Your role
We are adding staff to our system administration and infrastructure team in the UW-Madison College of Engineering (CoE) to prepare for growth in a number of exciting areas, including research computing. We are looking for any range of skills – early in career or experienced. If needed, we will train in areas based on both our needs and your interests.
What you can do
We need you to learn technical and contextual information and apply it to supporting the instruction, research, and outreach missions of the College of Engineering. Responsibilities may include Windows or Linux administration, software deployment, storage and infrastructure management, monitoring tools, or network protocols. We are very versed in automation, so you’ll learn how to setup, configure, patch, modify 100s of systems at a time.
