Tethered Software
What is Tethered Software? Tethered Software allows you to locally install and run some CAE owned and controlled software while your computer is connected to the network or Internet.
How to use Tethered Software: There are three simple steps to follow to use Tethered Software. Connecting is simple.
Step 1. Authorize your computer to use Tethered Software via the online authorization web page using your CAE username and password. Each authorization has a duration of twelve hours.
Step 2. Install the software on the hard drive of your computer. You can get access to the installation media either by mapping your network drive and installing or by checking out the software from Wendt Library and installing it.
Step 3. Run the software. Remember your machine must be authorized to run Tethered Software. To extend beyond the initial 12 hour authorization period, just authorize again before end of the expiration time.
