    • Description: this can be anything, however for the example we have used the email address jbgood@cae.wisc.edu
    • Email Address: CAE Email Address
    • Full Name: this will be the name people see when you send email
    • Incoming Mail Server: cae.wisc.edu
    • Username: CAE login
    • Password: CAE password
    • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): Add server smtpauth.cae.wisc.edu
    • Click Server Settings and enter the following information
      • Check the box labeled Secure Socket Layer (SSL)
      • Authentication: Password
      • Username: CAE login
      • Password: CAE password
  5. Account Information
  6. In the category listing right above Account Type select Advanced. The window should look the same as the one shown below.
  7. Enter the following information into the appropriate fields:
    • Check: enable this account
    • Check: include when automatically checking for new mail
    • Check: remove copy from server after receiving a message - the Faculty Support Group Recommends selecting one week but 1 day is sufficient for any purpose (CAE's backups run nightly so having it on the server for 1 day will ensure that the file is backed up on the backup tapes.)
    • Check: use SSL
    • Authentication: password
