Accessing CAE
Accessing 'pong' (network file space and print server at CAE)    
     
  • Creating a shortcut to pong (recommended method)
       
    1. Double click on My Network Places
      2.    
    2. Double click on Add Network Place
         
      1. Enter: "\\pong\username" as Location of the Network Place (username is your CAE login name). Click Next and Finish.

      2. Enter your CAE account username and password, click OK.

  • (or) Map a drive to pong (more detailed instructions)
       
    1. Right click on My Computer
      2.    
    2. Choose Map a Network Drive
         
      1. Note or specify the Drive letter for the connection.
        2.    
      2. Enter "\\pong\username" as the Folder (username is your CAE login name). Click Finish.
        3.    
      3. Enter your CAE account username and password, click OK.

    Accessing Novell file and application servers at CAE   WARNING: Running software from the network application servers is discouraged for wireless users. Running software on the CAE Remote Desktop or as tethered is prefered.
